Steve and Heidi

Our God Story

Heidi and Steve bring with them a wide variety of experiences in cross-cultural ministry and local church leadership. After several years of working in the construction industry, Steve returned to graduate school to study leadership and OT history and geography. At the same time, Heidi returned to school to study psychology.

They have been mentors to young adults for most of their adult lives, so this opportunity to mobilize Latin Americans fits their passions and interests. After completing their studies, they connected with the Caribbean Sun Canadian Regional Developers regarding their vision for Latin-America. Those conversations directed them to become involved in the Latin-American world as full time IW’s in 2014.

They established the first Alliance center for cross-cultural training in a multi-cultural city in Latin-America welcoming candidates from the different national churches in Latin-America. With a view to multiplying more workers, Steve and Heidi are preparing another Canadian IW couple to direct the current center in 2019 when they return to Canada for their home assignment year.

Our Vision

With a vision to raise up a well-prepared and resilient generation of Latin American international workers, Steve and Heidi are partnering with CLA (Alliance of Latin America) to initiate residential internship programs in cross-cultural settings.

Current Priorities

We will be heading on Home Assignment for 2019 and looking forward to reconnecting with family, friends, our Seamless Link churches, sharing our stories and vision for our program throughout the Region, and inspiring the local churches to see, learn about, and engage with the LRPGs within their own borders.

Least-reached People Group (LRPG)

We work with a unique group of LRPG’s called Latin Americans

Pray for God to continue to raise up Latin-American candidates to work cross-culturally among the least reached and the multiplication of the residential internship centers.

Pray for the Latin-American national churches to develop the infrastructure needed to send and support the international workers currently being equipped.

Pray for strong unity in our partnerships between the Canadian, US and Latin-American Alliance as it relates to the vision for preparing international workers.
