My God Story
Rachel is grateful to have the typical “grew up in a Christian home” story. She grew up hearing God’s word and learning what a relationship with His Son looks like through the mentorship and guidance of her parents. Rachel accepted Jesus at age four as an MK in Indonesia but truly came to know Him as she ventured on her own to bible school in Europe at age 19. Growing up overseas, God gave me a love to travel and culture. This led Rachel into nursing school, a portable career. Through several nursing volunteer trips to Central and South America, God called her into long-term service overseas. Over a period of four years, He took Rachel on a trust journey which led her to a hospital in North Africa, where she now educates nurses in a believing hospital and share God’s love in a town with less than 2% believers.
I desire to see nurses empowered through both education and the Holy Spirit in order to reach the least-reached, sharing the love, knowledge, and name of Jesus within our nursing school, the hospital, the community, and the country.
I am leading and teaching in a two-year nursing school which began in July 2017. I am sharing the Good Book stories with cousin nurses in our hospital as well as friends in the community. I am also engaging with and strengthening the local believers to become sharers of the truth (through Good Book stories, inviting them on community visits, training, etc…)

Pray that our “cousins” would come to know the name of Jesus and the significance of that name, coming into a relationship with Him. Pray that those who have chosen to follow Jesus from the cousin population would grow in their faith and be protected from persecution. Pray that the hospital and community would be deeply impacted from the education and empowerment of these well-trained nurses from the nursing school
The Global Advance Fund covers our support and living expenses. All donations are tax deductible. Make cheque payable to “C&MA Canada”.
I am deeply grateful for your support through prayer! If you would like to know more about how to pray for the country and people I work with, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to my newsletter.
