Ace and Cecilia Cheung

Our God Story

Growing up in Alberta, Ace received Christ as a teen and Cecilia came to know Christ as a university student. They responded to God’s call into cross-cultural ministries at a Missions Conference in their home church, South Edmonton Alliance. Ten years later they landed in Niger in 2006 with their two daughters, Elise and Iyla. Ace and Cecilia serve on a team ministering to Islamic nomads of Niger, opening up access to the hope of Christ to 1.3 million Tuaregs. Ace is a family physician with a part-time clinic and works with a Tuareg cooperative in development and relief. Cecilia uses her MBA background to start Village Savings and Loans groups and co-directs the Niger Vocational Training Centre. Their ministry integrates spiritual and physical development. The Cheungs love the privilege of serving God full-time, the challenge of helping without hurting, and the joy of sharing the freedom of the Gospel.

Our Vision

We long to see missional communities of Fulani and Tuareg transformed by the fullness of Christ.

Current Priorities

We are developing new ways to share Christ and disciple believers for this poorly literate context. Our team is also seeking ways to encourage, equip, and mobilize believers beyond the Tuareg Bible Camp. Finally, the Vocational Centre is partnering with a local church to holistically reach the Zarma, another LRPG.

Our Team

Niger Team: Doug and Denise Cameron, Kristi Hopf, Lisa Rohrick

Least-reached People Group (LRPG)

We work with a unique group of LRPG’s called the Taureg.  You can learn more about the Taureg by visiting our LRPG page.

Pray

Pray that the Holy Spirit would encourage the hearts of the handfuls of Tuareg believers.

Pray that Jesus would speak to those who do not know Him through dreams and visions.

Pray that we would take every opportunity God gives us to share about Him in word and deed
